Your journal and profile

My Q’ij does not require an account. Your name, birth date, preferences, calendar information, and journal entries are stored locally on your device. White Road Labs does not operate a journal server and cannot browse your entries.

Optional backup and notifications

If you enable backup, the app can store a backup through your Apple iCloud or Google Drive. Those services have their own privacy policies. Notifications are optional and follow your selected preferences.

The waiting list

When you sign up, we store your name, email address, and signup time in a private Google Sheet, accessible to the team managing invitations. We use these details to contact you about testing availability, send invitations, and share My Q’ij updates. We do not sell this information. Joining the list does not automatically give you access to the app.

To leave the list or request deletion, email hello@whiteroadlabs.com from the address you used to sign up.

Research conversations

If you book a short feedback call, we store your name, email address, chosen time, and the time zone reported by your browser in that same private Google Sheet, on a separate tab. We use this to confirm the call and send the link. We do not ask you to share journal entries. To cancel or ask us to delete the booking, email hello@whiteroadlabs.com.

This website

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider processes basic request information to deliver and secure the site. Your light or dark theme preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser’s font requests.
